Josee, if you go to the "General Board" page (where you see all of these discussions), there is a "discussion" that is second from the top called "Posting Pictures". The main thing is that you need to have the photos somewhere on the internet already, like in Facebook or Photobucket, etc.. I tried copying a photo from Facebook, but it didn't work, so I put it into Photobucket and it worked. :
I have a Montana Cincha roper mohair girth for my bareback pad. I hardly use it, though, so I can't say whether or not it stretches much.
I did find this bit of info from a forum... "Before I purchased my 1st one (mohair girth) I was advised by the saleslady at Montana Cincha to buy the girth 2 inches shorter than my ideal size - so, I bought a 26, and it became a 28, but has not deviated any more from that."

Thank you She's an appy x quarter horse her dad is RR Lonesome Heartman, such a beauty! he's a registered near leopard appy. And Ghostrider, you say that's where about you like your cinches to be, are you talking about the 2 first pics (halloween) with the 32'' or the other 2 with the 30'' ?

You're only talking an inch per side. All the pics look pretty much the same and are within the range I'd use. I don't know about you but with Buddy he can be a bit fluffier or not with a few factors like how much winter coat he's sporting or how long he's stood at the round bale the days before we ride etc.. and then don't forget about what blankets or pads I use that day, some are thicker than others and I may use my liner or go without all makes a difference and that extra inch or two really does not make much difference.

Hey hey Has anyone ever read this article before? Very interesting! And i agree with the measurements, it doesn't make any sense that the horse mentioned in the article would wear a 41'' cinch size. Those measurements didn't even work with my horse Link to the article www.equipedic.com/Measure_Cinches_Girths.htmIt's a long article but i think it's worth it! Was also told the same thing by a qualified saddle fitter

That is interesting. I think that's where mine rides but I'll have to check. I've never looked for the apex of the rib curvature. I'm not sure if I get how they can't breath though? no matter where the cinch begins and ends the horse's barrel is still round and there's a continual pressure from cinch and or tree all the way around the horse? Does make sense though about not being able to tighten if the cinch is too long though. Do they make a 41"? haha

haha i doubt they make 41'' cinches it's just what the answer of the calculation was, so it would either be 40 or 42'' but still that's long.. Here are 2 pictures of a new cinch i recently tried on Jade with the help of a qualified saddle fitter and is about 4 inch above the horse's elbow. I never thought i would have put a short cinch like that on my horse but this cinch is a 26'' !

I wouldn't put a cinch on that short either. Do you see any difference?
