Mine were given to me. ;-) I wasn't going to do anything, but teach her to have a balanced seat. But...these work great!!
I have been conversing through text with csi, and we have determined that Mason probably needs a 1/2" liner verses the 3/4" I ordered. They are sending out the 1/2 inch, and I get to keep both until I decide which one I want to keep. They are so helpful! I texted pics of him saddled up, and they gave me lots of good info. His girth wants to angle forward. It did that with my five star pad, too. We have determined that he's just round, and fat. LOL. HIs saddle also fits so well. I could ride it without cinching it up, and without a pad.

Check out e-Bay, they may be a little cheaper there.

I actually got a demo pad from CSI for $300.00. Used ones normally run for that much, and are more "used". I watched them on eBay for a while.
If you are in the market for one, they have grey on sale for $300, and blue demo ones for $300.

Csi sent me a 1/2 inch insert to try instead of the 3/4. That worked great! Most horses need the 3/4, unless they are really round. LOL

I saw that one when I was shopping for mine. It's the wrong "cut" for me. I need the "show cut". That way if we show Mason, we can put a show pad over it and it won't show. That one is the sports cut, I think.

I think if it only had 20 hours on it the leather would not be nearly that worn. But it is a good price if the underside is as clean. Cavello makes some great pads as well, meant to mention that and forgot. If I were going to buy one it would probably be a Cavello. www.cavallo-inc.com/products/saddle-pads/features.html

I was just looking at the Cavello pads yesterday!
Anyone ever try a Team Equine pad?

Another really good pad, is 5 Star. They are pricey, but they hold their value, and work well. I am still sold on Csi, but did like my 5 Star.

Nana, and anyone else who might be interested... CSI has used saddle pads for sale (demos, perhaps?). They are $285 plus shipping. I saw them on Facebook

Thanks Cyndi~ I did see that. I don't think I'll be buying another one yet. I did realize, though, that I have no saddle pad for the POA that will be staying with us this summer. My friend is going to send a saddle with her, so maybe she has an extra. LOL. Otherwise, I'll have to think about investing in something!

I wanted to report back on my pad. Csi ended up sending me a 1/2 inch liner to replace the 3/4, since my horse is round. His weight is perfect now, so I got to get the full picture when I rode on Sunday. It is awesome. I won't go to any other pad. If I ever need another pad, ( for another horse), I won't hesitate to purchase another.
I even think the pad makes me more balanced. I noticed that when I rode my friend's horse, too. The saddle is so perfectly balanced on the horse. I just love it. Highly recommend!

You are a good spokeswoman for CSI The best advertizing is the nice things people say about a product. Do these pads help prevent lateral slippage on round horses?

Glad you like it. I'm going to have to do something new soon, my navajo blanket is now 6 years old and won't last too much longer but I REALLY REALLY like it and I can't find another one as big or thick or nice. I'm pretty sure the couple who had the booth at the 3 day horse auction in Wy hand made them. I've looked and looked. UGH
