Yeah what do people do with themselves when they can't move around let alone mount their horse?!! I think I heard Buddy crying when I un-tacked him and put him back in the grass out front.

Sorry to hear that, GR I've noticed that my left knee has been sore the last few times I've ridden, but it's not so bad that I can't ride at all. Not that I've been riding much anyway :/

I discovered/guessed that my computer chair is cutting off the circulation to my legs. I noticed last week a couple times that the big toe nail and the one next to it on the bum leg were blue but the other leg's nails are pink. So it got me thinking that maybe some of the trouble is lack of circulation inhibiting healing?
I looked up the symptoms I've been having lately because I think some of this trouble is the almost uncontrollable urge I have to stretch my legs when I'm sleeping. I wake up all the time, sometimes 3-4 times through the night in the mid of stretching and it's all I can do to stop myself. One of the causes is lack of circulation, another is RLS but I don't have the tingling, need to move so I don't think it's RLS but I can try a few of the cures like a couple tsp of apple cider vinegar before bed, potassium, hot shower etc.. I think I'm irritating the tendons by stretching. It's not just a light stretch I stretch like when you have an itch and you know you should stop scratching that hard or you'll end up bleeding but just can't control it!
The DR. was supposed to call in a prescrip for a leg brace today so I'll stop and see if she did it tomorrow before work, that will help because the wraps wrinkle then leave gullets in the back of my knee and itch for a week.
Didn't someone here have RLS? or was it Jenny?

I've got RLS and one of our patients told me about a really unique remedy. Put a bar of soap in a sock & place it in the bed near your legs. Weird, but I swear it seemed to help. I'm not going to take any prescription meds if I can avoid it so I was ready to try anything. I looked it up online & it seems to have helped some people. They did say don't use Ivory and one other one I can't remember. I got a bar of lavender scented since lavender if relaxing anyway. Maybe it's all in my head???

I read that too I think they said Ivory or Dove? Definitely wouldn't hurt. I woke at least 6-7 times stretching in the night/morn. URGH

I worked with Whitey today in the RP. Didn't do a lot but I did play around with her. The best part is that DH said I needed a better saddle so I guess I get to go saddle shopping again I'm enjoying the English saddle.

Love to saddle shop! so what are you going to look for? I'm thinking I should at least lunge Buddy till my knee is better. The Home Equip place had to order my knee brace and it'll be here tomorrow. They were out of my size of course. At least that way one of us will be ready for that weekend in WY.

He said since I am enjoying the English saddle I need to find a better quality one. I'll start at the used saddle shop in the valley.

Ooooohhhh, HS, I wish I could go English saddle shopping with you I hope your knee is better by the time your trip rolls around, GR!! I'd never heard of using soap to help RLS. I told DH about it. We don't think he has it, but he does 'twitch' during the night, which wakes me up with a jolt, then I lie there wide awake. It's worth a try, especially something with a lavender scent, or something else soothing.

Anthony went saddle shopping today...kind of! He told me my co-worker should have been able to look up a mini 14 rifle he is interested in ordering. She's just transferred from HBA to Sporting Goods and told me today she's never even held a gun. She's from Venezuela. So I told him it would be if I told him I wanted to order a Colorado Wade saddle with oxbow stirrups and I want it in bull hide not cow hide! Took him over 5 min to find one on line...I told him yeah and she didn't have a computer just gun catalogs which she's probably never opened before. LOL
