Since we’re a third of the way through the month I figured we could start a new thread. DH has a vacation planned for us for a couple of weeks. We would leave on Monday and be back before the long weekend. He wants to go back to Montana and look at more places. I just want this over with. Everything I find out makes me madder. We went out to the shop to get out our tile saw to cut a few rocks and guess what? It’s not there anymore. I know we had repeatedly said we were taking it but somehow it has disappeared. The guy that was doing work for us was given all the furniture that no one had wanted and also a lot of other stuff. We had a whole bunch of old lapidary equipment that had frozen bearings and bad motors that he wanted and we let him have those because we weren’t able to fix them. I had drug them out of a collapsed barn where they had been for years and we had hoped to repair them but were unable to. I guess they loaded up the tile saw while they were at it. We have plans to buy a bigger saw but we still wanted that saw. It just makes me mad that everything I wanted is gone or not being taken but everything DH wants is “necessary” or needed. I just want this done and over with.

Make sure you are on board or you'll regret it. Mom wanted a property they looked at but she gave in and let J have this one. I love it but mom wanted to live close to the lake. She is always telling me how she wanted the other place. They went to buy a car and she wanted to go look at KIA and some of the other car places. She told the sales man a couple times that they were going to go have lunch and look at a few other vehicles but she couldn't get J up out of the seat. He bought the car (too small) with all the warranties because a guy at church told him how much he loved his car. After they bought this one the church guy sold his car because it was too small. Mom HATES this car...yuris? anyway you're going to have to live with all this, make sure you can live with your decisions. You don't need to be at odds over different decisions. I hope you find the perfect place, so sorry about the saw. Do you think he took it accidently? maybe you could ask him if he did and get it back. We did lapidary in CA, I have about a hundred spheres I made out of lapidary, jade, fiber optic, and my favorite is the puddingstone lake rock. Anthony and Kelley Marie liked making jewelry and cutting the goose eggs and the geodes in half and putting them on the lapping table. I move a couple hundred pounds when I move. LOL
Rain kept trying to smack me with his head because he didn't want me standing near enough to reach his ear. I had a good training hour with teaching drop your head until I got him to put his head down and leaving it there. Once he saw I wasn't hurting him he put his head down against my tummy and snuggled up while I took out the stitches. He's really smart. Yesterday I had to turn off the solar fence long enough to drive through it. He was 200 feet away and as soon as I turned it off he stuck his nose on the poly and walked under it. SMART ASS!!!

Diesel woke everyone at 3am. Shortly after that I heard two gunfire blasts a minute apart. This morning Anthony said an armadillo was after Pita (cat) and had him by the tail, he said Pita was screaming. Diesel the "peace maker" went crazy trying to get out but the doors were closed. Anthony and the upstairs door have the mesh magnetic curtains so they have access to the outdoors. He tried to get mom up but she wouldn't let him out and neither would I. Jim was at the door when Anthony went out and after shooting the retreating armadillo, Jim saw a second one. I hope that's it for armadillos especially if they are attacking our pets. All our chickens are young and not laying yet but they would be no match for the armidillos.

I have to confess I didn’t know armadillos attacked other animals. I don’t know what they eat but I guess I was thinking bugs. I thought they were only in Texas and right in that area. Be careful handling them as they can carry leprosy. We had another showing today and our agent said they really liked it and we should get an offer on Tuesday. Too bad both houses we really liked have contingent offers on them. We can still put in backup offers on them since it looks like they need to sell their properties before they can buy. We just got back from a trip to Montana and will probably go back next week if we accept the offer and look at some more places. I would sure like to get things settled.

I didn't know that about armadillos either. I hope the cat is ok. Not doing much this weekend. Spot cleaned carpets yesterday. Saturday got my new TV set up after staining the top of the entertainment center I got for cheap, $100. cash & carry at Aaron's. It was badly damaged but they even came out & glued the top back on it. I stained it to cover up some deep scratches. Not too concerned with how it looks as the TV mostly covers it up anyway. It has a fake fireplace insert & small cabinets on each side of the fireplace(which is also an electric heater). I had to velcro the TV to the top to keep the cats from knocking it off . Now I have a TV in the living room that is big enough to see and moved the 32" into the bedroom. My indoor antenna brings in enough stations for me & I have an Amazon Firestick for the small TV & the new one is a Fire Ready Edition. Now I can watch westerns to my heart's content! HS-I hope you house sells and you can get one of the ones you want in MT. My sister has had her house in Phoenix listed for almost 6 weeks. Not many "saves" on zillow, but I think she has it overpriced by about $75,000.

Turns out that the people making the offer are friends of our neighbors across the pasture, the one that does that logging with his draft horses. He sent me a message about it today. He and his wife like to hunt not far from the town in Montana and I know he’s stayed at the same place we did. Looks like DH’s cousin TB is going to come down and visit us for a while. He'll take the train since he doesn’t like to drive much. His GF is going to an inpatient rehab for a 30 day program so we invited him to come down for a while. She had been doing really good until her daughter was killed a few years ago. She was dumped off outside a hospital with a severe head trauma and ultimately was determined to be brain dead. Her mom had to authorize them removing life support. They had her on it and were just waiting for her mother to arrive before removing it. She saw some things in the hospital that they really should have had her leave the room for and it sent her over the edge. So sad but she is willing to go to rehab so it’s a start.

HS that is horrible, no one should have to bury their child. Do they know what happened to her? I hope something you love pops up, right now is the perfect time to sell and move for people with kids. Small world huh?
I pick up some great deals at WM. Either they are CVPed (1/2 off) or displays. I got a barnwood style tv stand that's about 4.5'' long has the two cabinet doors and two shelves in the middle. Big round feet. It was under a hundred dollars, nothing wrong but a screw hole on the one foot from being a display. They had one that was a heater too with the fake fire in the middle but I don't know how good that is on your tv and game stations? One of the other guys ended up buying it said it was fine for the tv. Bought a suede recliner for $125, had to sleep on it last night because my back and leg hurt when I laid down. Kind of felt like a sciatica? pain.
Anthony shot at another armadillo last night but his flashlight went out and he isn't sure if he wounded it or something drug it off. I guess they'll attack a cat if it's stalking it but they eat bugs which is why the holes in the back yard behind the garden. Pita doesn't learn after the one that had him by the tail he stalked the second one. I guess Anthony took two shots at the first one and an hour later Pita was out there stalking the second one and Anthony shot it. I thought he'd shot both at the same time. I slept through the second shots. We've had armadillos in Bolivar or on the highway going home but they haven't been in our place ever that we know of. The amish have told us they've killed a few at their places. Mostly they can be seen dead and belly up on the roads. Anthony bleached down after getting rid of them. And the bucket he carried them in won't be saved either..

Come to think of it, I think the tv stand was $125 before my 10% discount.
