I'm worried about Marie; not only is she gaining a lot of weight (easily 150-200 lbs over weight now) but she isn't shedding her winter coat properly also. She is finally starting to shed, but still has quite a bit of hair!
Bear is doing really well, he looks good! Give me a hard keeper horse any day over an easy keeper!
Dog Minnie & all the cats are doing well. Dumbledore went in for blood work & everything is much better than last time. All the other pets had all their shots, but the vets won't give him any of his shots. They're worried it might stress him more. He is getting a weekly B12 shot & if his blood work is doing well in 30 days, he'll get his rabies shot then, but no other shots. They still don't want to clean his teeth. At least not until he gains more weight. They have at least ruled out cancer & think he just had a minor infection earlier.
I hurt my leg last Saturday. When it looked really stormy I asked if I could leave early from Kaw Valley (it was dead due to the incoming storm) & I went home to plant my veggies/flowers. I managed to trip & hurt my right leg. I still managed to get almost all planted though!
Raining now, so at least I won't have to water my plants!

V, Have you had Marie checked for Cushings? Hope your leg is better. You are ambitious to plant veggies & flowers. I don't have room here, just have 8 or 10 flowers in big pots on my back patio. I've never cared much for gardening although my parents always had a huge garden and us girls had to help out. Maybe that's why I don't want one now.

v, which one is ill? Minnie or Dumbledorf? I hurt my left leg a week ago. I hate getting old. All the boy have been shedded out here for a month and you have warmer weather there. I hope it's not serious.
Mine got there immunizations, sheath cleaning and floated yesterday. Buddy has old man teeth. Vet thinks he's a bit older than the BLM had him listed. Might be why he was a big guy for his age when adopted. His top teeth are good, nothing loose but his bottoms are ground down almost to the roots, she said he'll be on senior soon.
Boomer has had trouble with taking huge mouthfuls and then he gets choked so I had put two rocks in his bucket to slow him up. I talked to the vet and she agrees that it's probably because the grain is 1/2 pellets and agrees that switching to plain oats would be a better solution. I may just switch over to senior though.
Mom would love it if I used some of the garden to grow stuff but I don't have the time. Anthony wants to grow watermelon and asked if he could fence in a section on the creek in the woods? we found a sunny spot and fenced in about a 30' square. Won't have to do anything but wait now. I was sore yesterday from pounding in the fence posts.

We accepted the offer on this house and made an offer on a place in Montana. The closing here was supposed to be June 8 but they asked if we could move it up to July 1. We told them we could but we would not be able to clear out all the stuff like shelving or clean up as much as we had wanted to. They are fine with that. The offer in Montana was accepted but it has a 45 day closing. They did agree to let us store our stuff in the garage until closing as we can’t find an open storage unit anywhere in western Montana or northern Idaho. We have our 5th wheel already in a park up there so we will just vacation until it’s ready. The only problem I see is the cats because one is still scared of the dogs and will have to live in a 22ft 5th wheel with them. The horses will be boarded at the real estate agent in OR’s place, she has a nice boarding and training facility. We’ll have them shipped up when we are ready for them. I think they will like their new place. It’s got 41 acres of pasture, trees, and a creek to roam. It’s all fenced and cross fenced and has multiple water rights. The house was built in 1918 and has been updated and has a large shop and a garage with a studio apartment/guest quarters at the back. This is stressful but should be exciting as we get new furniture and all for the house.

HS - Congrats!!! So glad things are working out. Can't wait to see pictures. It will be nice once the move is all done & things calm down. The place in MT sounds perfect for you. Keep me in mind for the studio apartment/quest quarters.

That is truly WONDERFUL!! wow with all that land you can mow and bale your own hay or have someone do it for you for halves. I would love to have a few more acres but they have 8 full time and two more or three more in the summer when the grass is long.

V, Have you had Marie checked for Cushings? No yet, I found out the owner (husband) was feeding in the mornings. I had caught him previously feeding Marie as much as the much larger, more active horses. He has been told by both his wife & myself, no grain period. I'll stop by & give her vitamins, hoof supplement & turmeric in the mornings & a friend of mine (& another boarder) will grain her at night. Since getting off the grain she is loosing the weight & has shed off all her hair.

Bear has choked before. When you feed pellets or senior feed it needs to be moistened. I put about a cup of corn oil in it & let it sit for at least 5 minutes. In the winter when Bear gets a lot more, I add about 2c of hot water & let it soak in.

This move is a bit of a nightmare. We had placed in the offer a request to store our stuff in the garage since we offered a 45 day closing. They had agreed but wanted the inspection done first which was fine with us. After the inspection was done we requested that they replace the electrical panel in the house as it was one with a high rate of failure and a fire risk and also fix the outlets that had been identified as not wired correctly. They told their agent okay and she passed that on to our agent along with the okay to bring stuff out. We loaded our horse trailer and rented a 26’ Uhaul truck that our pastor drove and he towed our Jeep. He left the night it was loaded since he preferred to drive at night. We left in the morning and met him at the RV park where we have our 5th wheel. He had spent the day exploring with the Jeep. The next morning we go to the house and they said they didn’t want us to leave the stuff in the garage after all but we could put the trailer in the pasture. We spent 2 hours trying to find storage units for all this stuff and finally found some an hour away. We drove up there and unloaded the truck as fast as we could and then I had to drive back to Spokane to get Pastor on the last flight home and we missed it by 15 minutes. We all went to dinner and then he had to spend the night at the airport to catch a 6am flight. We had to drive back 2 hours that night. The park manager said we could park the trailer there so we went back the next day and picked up the trailer. The couple had decided we could keep stuff there after all but we took the trailer and told them our kayaks and stuff were in there and we wanted them handy. The electrical stuff they had agreed to fix they decided they weren’t going to do after all because it was fine for them and it should be fine for any one else. We explained to them that unless it was replaced the VA wouldn’t approve the loan. We asked them to at least get us an estimate so we could see about having it done ourselves. We also wanted to get an estimate on a propane fireplace to replace the wood stove in the living room and an estimate to replace the windows with energy efficient ones which could be included in the loan. I really don’t think they will do that so it will end up being out of pocket. I don’t think they really understand how real estate transactions work. They tried to tell us it was the law there that they would have at least 30 days AFTER closing to move out. Uh, nope. Possession upon closing. We had tried to help them by telling them about VA home loans where they wouldn’t have to put 20% down. They had never done one before and called us today to ask how to go about getting a loan and who to go to. We gave them the name and number of the company handling ours. They have a reverse mortgage on this place so they won’t be getting a lot to buy their next place so a zero down loan is looking pretty good. We’ll be out of here on Monday and taking our final load. We have several other families that are interested in moving too including the pastor. We may have a full house of friends house hunting soon. Even if for some reason this doesn’t go through there are still other places available. We would really like to get this place though, especially after we found out the land was the site of a town at one time. There’s still at least one old building there. Lots of metal detecting fun in the future.

I wonder if the town would have records of what characters lived in the town your home is on? Or photo's maybe at the museum near by? hopefully this will all be behind you soon and you'll be able to settle down. I was thinking you were leaving things in the old home not the new one. Sounds like those people are a bit off their rocker! LOL
The GYN dr.s office called and confirmed an apt next fri for a biopsy. The family dr that did my pap said I have or maybe don't have? HPV and or but some weird cells. I wasn't sure what she said to be truthful. OKAY they didn't say much else except they were going to have the dr. in Bolivar schedule an apt. So I was a bit taken aback when the Bolivar clinic said they were going to do a biopsy to see if it's cancerous. UM OKAY? I thought it was fine but according to the Bolivar dr. it's important to see what's happening.
We're supposed to have one wk of no rain. WHOOHOO

GR, I hope things have improved since I had a biopsy. I had some pre-cancerous cells that they burned off but they returned. I then had a hysterectomy with no problems since. I think a lot of people have HPV because it was not something we even knew about. It doesn’t always cause any problems so who would even know? I was 32 at the time and since I already knew I didn’t want children I went ahead with the surgery. The gynecologist said they could try other treatments but they weren’t likely to be successful. The surgery wasn’t too bad and other than being tired I recovered pretty quick.

Had a few hiccups with the sale of the house. The kids that are buying it had a hiccup with their buyer, who paid off a loan, and they are making them redo their financial paperwork so their house didn’t close yet. That put back the closing on this house and then the title company found something on the deed that wasn’t right. The title company that we did our original purchase through went bankrupt and their policies were distributed among other companies. They wanted me to find the original policy so they could find out where it is and if what they found was was noticed then. I packed all our paperwork and what we kept is in Montana and everything else was shredded. They could tell what company had issued it by the number so I don’t know why they need the actual policy to track it down. Well I looked in the 2 small boxes of papers in the laundry room and guess what I found. Yep, the original policy. I emailed a copy of it to the title company and I hope that takes care of this. Another problem arose from when the neighbor found out years later that he built his house too close to the property line. He had used a fence line that was about 10 feet inside our property to lay out his plans and the county was fine with it then. Later they did a satellite survey and told him it was off. They had him ask us if we could just change the property line to the fence line and we agreed. He filled out papers and we all had to have them notarized and he said he rewrote the legal description of the property to update the change. The problem is the county only shows an agreement but not a transfer of the land from one property to the other. I don’t know what he did wrong but without getting this fixed no one can sell their property. Not a problem for them right now but when they want to sell it will be. We called a surveyor and they told us it would be $4000-$6000 and take 6 months. Since he didn’t have it recorded properly I’m all for having it voided if possible and he can deal with the buyers later. If we lose this sale and the purchase in Montana I will be furious. I told DH we need to lease it to pig farmers or pot farmers and all of it would be right next to their house. We were talking about some stuff going on the other day and he went off about Trump to the point he was almost foaming at the mouth. He is an ex-cop from CA and always carries and now he is sounding really off. So glad our horses are not here right now. I finally got ahold of him but they are out of town until Monday night. When I explained the problem with the title he didn’t seem to quite get it. Said the one problem of an overlap in the pasture had been that way for a long time and not to worry about it. It was that way when he bought it too. Well it may have been but the title company isn’t happy with it now. The part by the house he said he filed the paperwork for it and he did file some but the legal description of our property still included the strip from the property line adjustment that was never conveyed to his property. He said he rewrote the description but I don’t think he did it for both properties, just his. All our file has is an agreement. This needs to be straightened out ASAP and not all on our dime as all the problems involve property he sold us. Thankfully I found the original title insurance policy and it shows the overlap in the far pasture corner and the title company accepted it during the sale so whoever has the policy now will need to fix that. I’m getting so tired of people who do things themselves that aren’t qualified to do them because they are too cheap to have it done right. If he had used a real surveyor when he was dividing up his land and building his other house instead of fence lines we wouldn’t be having this problem. It all belonged to him at one point. He swears the timber companies moved all the corner pins around so they could steal trees and now many of them are missing so they just kind of guessed at stuff.
