Sounds really tiring.. I don't know how you and Michael find the patience to deal with him. Maybe it's time to teach him how God works through prayer? if it is truly Gods will nothing will stop progress and donors. If it's not Gods will then no amount of money will find success without Him. It sounds like they don't have the basics of being a Christian and need to grow some? Do they do bible study? church on Sundays? the basics? are they being fed and growing?
In the past we've had to work Black Fri to get our bonus then it was TGD then the last two years we've been closed for TGD so this year we had to work every F, Sat and Sun that we were scheduled to work to get our bonus. I think it was 3 weekends where they brought out the "deals for days" events. So we get an extra 15% on top of our 10% that we get with our discount card. But the 15% is a one time deal. They gave us 3 wks to use it instead of the two days we normally had.
I got two new tires last month only because I had a flat twice in one wk and the tires were showing the belting. So I got two new matching tires yesterday with my discount, plus some other stuff of course! But I got 3-4 miles from work and my low pressure tire light came on. PITA right?? got out looked and nope nothing looked low. Ended up it was a sensor that if my car is low on one side sends the signal to the dash light. HUH??? I've driven on uneven ground and what not and never had that light come on. Anyone hear anything like that? They reset the light for me and it didn't come back on. I felt like Penny on Big Bang Theory where she just put a sticker over the warning light on her dash! JUST GET ME A STICKER! LOL
I found a cute shirt for Anthony's B-day, it says "If you're going to fight, fight like you're the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother it's begining to Rain! " He loves funny t's.

GR, when the light came on in my truck I always threatened to put a small piece of electrician's tape on it to cover it up We got about 2 inches of snow overnight. I don't have to go anywhere all weekend & it's supposed to be in the 40-50 degree range so I don't think I'll even bother to shovel. I only swept off the back steps so the dogs don't track in so much & the front porch & steps so the mail carrier won't slip on the steps. I'm working on changing EVERY password I have for all on-line accounts. I don't think I've been hacked everywhere but Google keeps reminding me that I have several identical passwords. I'm going to keep a list of them after I get them all changed.

Snow! wow it's still fairly warm but rainy here. I have a little spiral notebook with all my passwords written in it but I confess I also have a lot of the same passwords.
There's some animal that took off running and went under the coop. Anthony wasn't sure what it is but maybe a possum? So Diesel was out there and when I called him in he has a 1/4 inch cut from the side of his eye horizontal with a small bit of flesh like a bite or a claw puncture. Not bad enough to raise the vet but all I can do is give him a few sprays of vetericyn. Wait for it to scab up. URGH Honestly I think it's a new cat that's been hanging out in the garage where Jim feeds our cats.

I love it when the computer tells me I shouldn’t use the same password again. If I could remember a whole bunch of passwords I would use different ones but get real. Who can remember 30 different passwords? Thankfully my computer will save my passwords and I can use the fingerprint feature to use my passwords. I have a notebook with them in it but sometimes you have to change one and I can forget to go write it down. We got 6” or so of snow with more coming but it isn’t very cold. I got me some new snow boots a few weeks ago. Last year I bought some insulated hunting boots but they are too tight for me. I hoped they would stretch a little bit but they didn’t. I have pac boots but I wanted something else for snowshoeing. These new ones are Columbia Omni Heat boots for boys. They’re a boy’s size 7 which is about an 8.5 in women’s but they are D width not the women’s B or C so they are wide enough. My feet have always been wide but too many horses have stepped on them and they are even wider now. I got some Columbia Omni Heat gloves too. They have a fleece glove that can be worn alone and a waterproof shell with the Omni Heat fabric lining. They can be worn separately too and then you can put the shell over the fleece ones for the most protection. I hate to have to wear bulky gloves but I hate cold hands more. I need to find some glove liners that I used to have. We called them Michael Jackson gloves because they were sparkly silver. They had metallic threads in them that kept them warmer. Those under my waterproof work gloves would be much less bulky but I can’t find them anymore. Silk glove liners are supposed to be pretty good.

I've never used the fingerprint ID on my phone or ipad. Not sure if my touchscreen desktop has that feature or not. I should probably check on it. I haven't set up the face ID feature on phone either. Most of the snow melted from the street & sidewalk yesterday. Going to be another 40-50 degree day today so that should take care of the rest of it. Grassy areas are still sovered though.

I don't use any of the fingerprint id's on my phone or computer, not sure if I can do it on the computer but I have a couple aps that you can set up fingerprints. Supposed to be in the low 60's tomorrow, if its not windy as crap I plan to get a ride in but it was COLD and windy today, not holding my breath. I do need to dig out the trough heater and cord and get it plugged in and ready for the cold weather. Supposed to be cold after Tues? I think. I don't want to wait till late at night after work when its cold and nasty like I usually do! LOL I'm in big trouble! they started an auction barn in town here. Saddles then horses every first wed of the month! I don't know if I'll be able to stay away. Guess we'll see on the 5th. I wear my lined leather gloves, or those cheap $1 ones if I'm just going to work or somewhere fast like out to feed. Don't know what I'd do with good ones. Someday I may buy a good pair.

Wow, everyone has better weather than me. But that’s okay, I don’t mind the cold and snow much. I bought both the gloves and boots on Amazon and they weren’t too expensive. I know that Columbia gear should last a good while. I still have a pair of my old ski gloves from more than 20 years ago. I think they could use a waterproofing treatment but they aren’t too bad. The new ones even have a pocket for a hand warmer pouch in them. My family in IL near where that Amazon warehouse is said the day before the tornado it was 70* and it was in the 60’s on that day. Crazy. I have a feeling it’s only going to be getting worse. I already put out the tank heaters a couple of weeks ago when we had really low temperatures. There was even ice forming on the edges of the river. I hope everyone has a great and safe Christmas.

It's supposed to get to mid 50's today, but colder & rain tomorrow with high winds. A weatherman in AZ used to call high winds "small dog alert". I've got today & tomorrow off. I have some errands to run & planning on doing them today so I can stay home tomorrow. Last year I bought a pair of Bearpaw snow boots. Only wore them a couple of times but they are really warm. I let them sit outside during the day several times as they really smelled "fishy" when they were new. Maybe mink oil? They are glittery suede but supposed to be water proof.

It was 74 today but windy, 50mph gusts. Anthony texted me to say it would be a good day to play hookie! I told him I only have three more hours left besides if I'm gonna play hookie it's going to be riding weather.
Christmas is zooming by, 9 more days? wow. Work decided that they're tired of doing the ham/turkey meals and our Christmas dinner this year will be pasta. The restaurant that is catering it is owned by Kathy (Kathy's Pasta) she is the daughter of some friends/church members we know. Her dad has been in the nursing home for about 5-6 years and her mom is now in assisted living because she left her car in drive and got out, and was run over in her driveway then before she could recover from that she had a couple more falls. Mom goes to visit her on occasion. I've never liked Kathy's pasta it's one of those places that tries to be fancy and brings you just enough food that you're hungry by the time you get home. Half our staff are hungry MEN who eat like pigs so I am wondering.... They are going to bring new every two hours through out the day so maybe it'll be okay.

Hey, anyone still here? I wanted to let you know my sad news & I don’t want to put it on FB yet. I feel I should wait until after Tuesday & let Darlene be the first to post anything if she wants to. Risty is going across the rainbow bridge Tuesday morning. He has been a part of Darlene’s family for the last 4 years(I can’t believe it has been that long) and she has been so good to him. He was born 4/20/94 and the last few months he has had one issue after another. She has been so good in keeping me informed on what is going on with him even though she really didn’t have to. Anyway, he has progressively gotten worse & losing weight & lately not interested in eating – totally not like him to not want to eat. She has had the vet out so many times in the last few weeks & with so many issues hitting him at once, she asked the vet if it was her horse what she would do. The consensus is to end his suffering and pain. I totally agree & knew this day would eventually come but I still feel like I have been kicked in the stomach. He was my first horse & probably my only one. He went from a 5 ½ YO green broke gelding who had only been gelded for about 4 weeks when I got him to an awesome companion. I still refer to my John Lyons trainer as my lifesaver. Her comment was "Well, probably not your ideal first horse" Risty & I both learned so much from her! Anyway, Tuesday is going to be a tough day. I don’t have to work, but have appointments to take both dogs for their annual shots. I will be thinking about Darlene that morning. I know it is going to hard for her but I know she will be with him until the very end. I wish I could be there but there is no way I can afford a trip to Tucson right now. I know I’ll be riding him again someday on the other side of the bridge. Spoiler alert – I’ll be posting a bunch of pictures on FB in the coming days.
