His name is Curtis. Unfortunately, they are pretty sure it is terminal and will not be too long.

A little bit of hope today. They are saying it might not have metasticized as much in the lungs and brain as they originally thought. On the down side, the scan showed a compression fracture in another vertabrae. I wish I could get him to eat something. He just won't.

How about a protein smoothy? Sorry to hear it's so far spread but God is the ultimate healer and can do all things.
My son has a mass on his spine as well. It doubled in size in a month. They don't know what it is and they are not doing much about it. He's in the process of med boarding out of the ARMY so they haven't decided whether to send him to a non-army place or wait and make him go V.A! UGH
I have a cousin who dropped her insurance because their business was hurting and they didn't have the extra money. And now she has a tumor and no insurance. An Aunt going through Chemo for Breast Cancer and her youngest son, around 30 who just took his last treatment for Esophageal cancer. They think they've radiated that little valve that keeps the acid down.
Cancer is SOOOO wide spread all of a sudden. I know so many others going through it.

Ask your friends/relatives with cancer & no insurance if they have checked with their Oncologist for assistance. Most cancer drug companies have a "compassion assistance" program to help patients with the cost of the chemo drugs.

That's true...My mom got assistance that paid for some of her chemo. They said there were also groups that would provide gas cards to help pay the cost of getting to the doctor as well.

Dani, I so sorry about Curtis. I hope it isn't as bad as they thought & they can do something for him. (((Hugs)))
Denise, hope you boy gets the medical help he needs! You'd think the military would take care of him pronto!
