Hi Gang! Just wanted to come over and say hi and introduce my new horse Pico. He is 5 and about 15'2" and has been fun to have around. Pretty uneventful meet with Riot : youtu.be/06zC8Ik5yeo

Pico is very cute, and so was the video, bearcat! :-) Do you just have these two now? I ask because didn't you get a different horse a year or two ago from out east somewhere?...if so, what happened to him? Maybe I'm mixing your situation up with someone else's....?

Hey Cat, very nice looking horse. I love the way you have braided his mane.

Good memory wj. Yes, I had Pilgrim, a TB from Finger Lakes, NY . He ended up with stifle issues that made him unsuitable for jumping, so I sold him as a trail horse. Then Zac, my little Dutch warmblood x yearling colt. I only had him for 6 months. He died last April following complications from gelding procedure. Very sad.
And yes, Pico is a BLM Mustang, actually from the same herd as Riot! I did NOT set out to get another mustang and have been horse shopping for the last 4 or 5 months. Did PPEs on 4 horses, a TB, a Warmblood, an Appendix and an Andalusian. All had issues that showed up and several had way wacky owners (outright lying to me.) This guy was on my local CL. He was adopted from Canon City almost 2 years ago.

Gotta love those mustangs. I also was pretty impressed by both the Ass Mng trainers from Canyon City, CO and how well Frisco came to me after only 60 days trained. I love dapple greys too, tried to keep Buddy's dapples from disappearing but I fear come spring and shed out he'll be all flea bitten this year. AH AGE.

He's gorgeous! I love the mane too. I would have never thought of banding at the bottom of the strand.

Oh yeah!...Pilgrim.....I couldn't think of the name. Sorry he didn't work out after all that transporting and such. AND really sorry about your little guy :-( How often does gelding a horse lead to complications?...I've never heard of it happening to anyone I know. If Pico is as much a character as Riot, I hope you'll share lots of stories and pics :-) Congrats again!

:)Congratulations! He is beautiful, happy for Riot to have a buddy. Sorry to hear about the gelding incident, that sounds very tragic.
